I'm a freelance food and travel journo and full-time editor based in Melbourne, Australia.
The media love affair started way back in my teens, where much of my time (and all of my pocket money) was spent hosting a punk rock radio show, interviewing bands and producing my own 'zine on my dad's office photocopier.
During my twenties I dove deep into hospo world – travelling the world for culinary inspo and treading the boards at top restaurants in Australia and London . When the late nights started to lose their shine I hung up my waiter's friend and apron to write about food instead of carrying it around.
I now review restaurants and hotels for Australia's most respected guides and write feature articles, travel stories and industry news for a range of leading food and travel publications.
I'm the resident food columnist at Australian Traveller and my work appears in Good Food, Broadsheet, SBS Food, Australian Traveller magazine, The Age Good Food Guide, Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide and more. In 2014, I was commissioned by Herb Lester Associates to curate and write pocket travel guide, An Appetite For Melbourne, which can be found in bookshops worldwide – from New York to Lisbon.
I'm a proud Ambassador for Scarf, a social enterprise that provides hospitality training and mentoring for young people from Melbourne's migrant and refugee communities. I also work alongside the great team at Sacred Heart Mission to support their annual Dine With Heart fundraising campaign.
