I recently stumbled across this friendly Fairfield newcomer, and wrote about my findings for Good Food. Full of charm, it's a humble little neighbourhood cafe, on the wrong side of Fairfield (next to the train line), and was put together with love by enterprising young tradie-cum-barista, Dylan Breen.
Dylan is only 22, but his savvy is real. The place is packed. In fact, I went there for lunch recently and there was no food left. Nothing to eat! Poor kid could only offer me a flat white and a muffin, such is the market for decent cafe fare in this neck of the woods.
Might have something to do with the crazy-ass breakfast burger they do, which comes replete with a crispy, golden potato cake in the middle. Yes, I actually just said that. For real.
