It was a bittersweet experience receiving my subscription copy of SBS Feast magazine in the post this week.
Sad because it is the magazine's final issue. Sad because I had written a big bunch of stories for upcoming issues and been commissioned for a bunch more (all of which will now never see the light of day). And sad because Australia's food media world really needs magazines like this one.
On the upside, it was sweet because a little piece I did about my friend Arie scraped through in the final cut, and also because I had such a super wonderful time as a Feast contributor. Huge thanks to Alix, Lara and the rest of the Feast team for having me on board these past few months, it's been a brief but awesome ride.
