Last week we celebrated the official Australian launch of my little pocket travel guide An Appetite for Melbourne, which was a collaboration with independent UK publishers Herb Lester Associates and US designer Ross Bruggink.
The guide is already selling in book shops all around the world - from London to Paris, Berlin, Tokyo and New York City and I felt it was only apt that we throw a proper party to celebrate the local launch.
In true Melbourne style, our venue for the night was a place steeped in history, shrouded in mystery and hidden down an obscure CBD laneway - at central Melbourne's wonderfully atmospheric Kelvin Club.
The event was sponsored by some of Melbourne's best purveyors of food, wine and lovely things and I would like to take the time now to thank each of them very much for their generosity and support.
Here's a list of the wonderful friends that made the night such a hit:
The Kelvin Club, Baker D. Chirico, Spring Street Grocer, La Latteria, That's Amore Cheese, Casa Iberica, Provenance Wines, Basalt Wines, Mornington Peninsula Brewery, Splitrock/Tiro, Katie Marx Flowers, Saint Louie Hair and Brook James Photography.
