For months the rumours swirled, the speculation mounted and countless theories did the rounds. And within a brief but upbeat 10-minute announcement at Crown, world renowned UK chef Heston Blumenthal set us all straight (and the whole town spinning) when he revealed that The Fat Duck would be flapping its wings to Melbourne in early 2015.
Following yesterday's press conference, I was lucky to have the chance to sit with Heston for an exclusive 1:1 interview on behalf of Broadsheet Media. After quizzing him about what he sees as Melbourne's culinary strengths we later got on to the hot topic of late night kebabs... and savoury jaffles.
